From mid-September through the end of October, Penn State units at campuses across the commonwealth will be holding events in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month. The unifying theme for this year’s observances is “Nuestra Música (Our Music): Identity, Culture and Resistance."
As students plan their return to Penn State campuses for the fall 2022 semester, the University continues to provide resources to help individuals stay safe and healthy and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Penn State University Health Services (UHS) is encouraging students to protect themselves against monkeypox in light of cases in Pennsylvania and nationally. Monkeypox is a viral infection primarily spread through prolonged close contact. It is not a sexually transmitted infection (STI), and anybody can be at risk, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
The results of a confidential university-wide survey show that the majority of Penn State employee and student participants feel safe on campus and view Penn State police officers favorably.

The Penn State DuBois business society has helped to raise sustainability awareness this year with their Earth Day 21 Days of Sustainability Challenge. The challenge and Earth Day celebration were the brainchild of the sustainability committee within the business society, a student-run club on campus.
Penn State's sexual misconduct climate survey will close on April 22. The survey was sent to a random sample of students at all Penn State campuses; students can check their Penn State email for a link to complete the survey. The University-wide survey is designed to assess issues of sexual assault, misconduct and harassment.
The Penn State DuBois Office of Student Engagement invites all members of the community to attend “Hypnotic Intoxication,” an event by Keith Karkut, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the Hiller Auditorium on campus. Karkut is an experienced hypnotist that specializes in alcohol awareness education.
The Penn State DuBois baseball team hosted Point Park University on Wednesday, March 16, at Showers Field in a single game match-up. Senior Nolan Walters would get the start for DuBois from the mound, and he would not disappoint, setting the pace for a 6-1 DuBois victory.
